Bush Presidential Library and Museum, America’s 13th presidential library, which opened to the public on May 1, 2013 and is overseen by the National Archives and Records Administration. After your tour guide provides a brief orientation, step into Freedom Hall and stare in wonder at the one-of-a-kind 20-foot-tall, 360-degree, high definition video wall that orients visitors and depicts a montage of the 44 U.S. Presidents. With your Private Tour Guide, explore the highlights of the museum, which include some of the approximately 43,000 gifts given to the President and First Lady. Freedom Matters Exhibit until December 2023

Explore the ongoing pursuit of liberty in a new special exhibit at the George W. Bush Presidential Center. Featuring rare artifacts and interactive activities, Freedom Matters highlights the importance of freedom in building peaceful societies, how the work of freedom advocates has changed the lives of millions, and what we all can learn from the study of history.

Artifacts including a 14th-century copy of the Magna Carta and rare versions of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution of the United States, and Bill of Rights, will be on display as well as other pivotal documents and objects from world history, including the newspapers chronicling women’s suffrage, the Emancipation Proclamation and rare books by thinkers from Jean-Jacques Rousseau to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Bush Presidential Center is set within a native Texas landscape with grounds featuring Blackland Prairie grasses, seasonal wildflowers and clearings that provide native habitats for butterflies and birds. This landscaped park reflects the President and Mrs. Bush’s longstanding commitment to environmental conservation and restoration. “Many years ago this site would have been a breathtaking Texas prairie. Today the park is planted once again with native habitat for birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Visitors can experience this site’s beautiful natural environment in the center of Dallas.”
