Stop At: Hida-Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market, Shimosannomachi, Takayama 506-0841 Gifu Prefecture
Miyagawa Morning Market is one of the two-morning markets found in Hida Takayama area. You can try delicious local food and shop at handicraft shops. Enjoy interacting with friendly local shop owners.

Stop At: Takayama, Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, Tokai, Chubu
Takayama's old town has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating from the Edo Period (1600-1868) especially the Sannomachi Street, survives in a particularly pretty state with many old homes, shops, coffee houses and sake breweries, some of which have been in business for centuries.

Stop At: Takayama Jinya, 1-5 Hachikemmachi, Takayama 506-0012 Gifu Prefecture
Jinya government house was in official use until 1969 and is now open to the public as a museum. It includes various nicely maintained tatami rooms that once served as offices, conference rooms, guest rooms and residential space. There is also an interesting interrogation room.

Stop At: Hida no Sato Open Air Museum, 1-chōme-590 Kamiokamotomachi, Takayama, Gifu 506-0055, Japan
Hidanosato is in the suburb of Takayama, which was an old precious private house of a rafter roof relocated and rebuilt.
Its facilities where the event inherited from old days and reminiscent lives of the good old farming in the mountain village are really attractive.

Stop At: Hida Furukawa Old Town, Furukawacho, Hida Gifu Prefecture
Furukawa is smaller and calmer than Takayama. Like Takayama, the town gained wealth and fame through the high quality timber found in the region and the high level craftsmanship skills of the local carpenters. Furukawa is a nicely preserved old town.
