ItineraryThis package will let you visit the three villages in the center of Lake Como on your own. You will begin your journey at Bellagio, where you can visit the famous gardens of Villa Melzi and the park of Villa Serbelloni. By noon, you will be picked up by a shuttle in Bellagio Center for your lunch in a panoramic restaurant located on top of the hill. After lunch, taking the public ferry, you will move to your next destination, the village of Menaggio, where you can have a short hike to the Menaggio castle. On the ruins of the ancient castle, you can find the church of S. Carlo. Afterwards, you will proceed to your last destination, the small village of Varenna. This village is characterized by its romantic “passeggiata degli innamorati," a short pedestrian path that leads from the wharf of Varenna to the center of the village. From there, you have the opportunity to admire the lake, the mountains, and the small colored dwellings nestled at the bottom of the rocky wall. Another highlight of Varenna is Villa Monastero, a villa turned into a museum with a beautiful botanic garden. By late afternoon, you will end your day with a delicious aperitif overlooking the lake.
