Ancestral journey through 'Alto Quindío'

During the tour, different typographical and geographical conditions of the territory will be crossed, which contain a high biological diversity and a relevant cultural history for the social development and establishment of the population in Salento. During the course, different types of forest will be identified and an historical panorama of land use will be generated. Finally arriving at the Santa Lucía refuge, a place where they work on agriculture and reforestation. In which a typical lunch of the area will be taken, and then return to Salento.

Itinerary

During this tour, paths of great cultural, environmental and social historical importance of the colonization and pre-colonization periods in the history of this territory will be crossed. In which we seek to highlight the traditional expressions around the culture, such as; gastronomy, music, agricultural and craft techniques.

It consists of a three-hour walk, starting from the 'El Molino' farm on the Salento - Valle del Cocora road. It has a range of 5.2 km with a medium-low level demand level.

In Santa Lucia we can find clean waters, botanical and environmental diversity, a musical collection, books, cultural exchanges, recreational activities (yoga, gastronomic tastings, reforestation and planting), flora and fauna sightings, waterfalls and various types of landscape. The way back has various options, which will be agreed according to weather conditions and group disposition.
