We'll embark on a picturesque one-hour drive, taking us to the charming village of La Soledad, nestled on the Pacific slope of the magnificent Acatenango Volcano.

As we arrive in La Soledad, get ready to meet your fantastic tour guide! They will provide you with special instructions for the hike ahead. We'll conquer the trail, which consists of four unique microclimates, each lasting about an hour. Our hike commences with a thrilling ascent through local farm fields, followed by a captivating journey through an ancient cloud forest. The diversity of flora and fauna will leave you spellbound, and the fresh mountain air will invigorate your senses.
But that's not all! As we exit the cloud forest, prepare to be amazed by breathtaking views of neighboring volcanoes and the mesmerizing Cuchumatanes mountain chain. Rise and shine! The morning greets us with excitement as we enjoy a nourishing camp breakfast. Gear up for the highlight of our journey – the ascent to the summit! Brace yourself for a thrilling 90-minute climb on a trail adorned with sand, gravel, dwarf pine trees, and alpine mosses. As we make our way to the rocky summit, be prepared to witness the power and beauty of nature at its finest.
Once we reach the summit, get ready for a breathtaking spectacle! Take a well-deserved break and revel in the unparalleled 360-degree views of the Guatemalan highlands stretching all the way to the Mexican border.
As we bid farewell to the summit, our group begins the three-hour descent back towards La Soledad. But fear not, this journey is as enchanting as the ascent itself. You'll experience different microclimates and traverse beautiful trails, allowing you to immerse yourself even more in the wonders of Acatenango Volcano.
