This captivating Montevideo shore excursion commences at the Punta Del Este cruise ship port. A warm welcome awaits you from our friendly driver just outside the cruise ship terminal. Step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle, embarking on a 2.5-hour journey through the scenic beauty of Uruguay. Please note that Montevideo is a significant distance from the port, allowing limited time for exploration. Plaza Zabala is a plaza in the Ciudad Vieja of Montevideo, Uruguay. In late 1878, during the dictatorship of Colonel Lorenzo Latorre, it was decided to demolish the old fort and build a public square in its place. But for 12 years this site remained a wasteland. The Plaza finally came to be established only on December 31, 1890 when the equestrian statue of Bruno Mauricio de Zabala was installed.

Palacio Taranco, located in front of the Plaza Zabala, in the heart of the Old City of Montevideo, Uruguay, is a palace erected in the early 20th century during a period in which the architectural style was influenced by French architecture. It was designed by French architects Charles Louis Girault and Jules Chifflot León, who also designed the Petit Palais and the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

The National Historical Museum is an Uruguayan institution created in 1838 as a space for the formation of the Uruguayan national identity. Palacio-Salvo is a building in the center of Montevideo, Uruguay. One of the main landmarks of the city. Since 1996, it has been a national historical monument. The skyscraper was commissioned by business brothers Joseph and Lorenzo Salvo and designed by Italian architect Mario Palanti. It was opened on October 12, 1928.
