Your flight from Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma departs at 10:30 a.m. Once you arrive at Kibirizi port, a private boat will take you on a two-hour journey to Gombe. Upon arrival at the camp, you can check in and enjoy lunch before embarking on an afternoon chimpanzee tracking adventure. You'll hike deep into the forest to witness the natural beauty and observe various species of primates such as valet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs, and dik-diks that inhabit the dense forest. You'll also see a diverse range of tropical birdlife. After the excursion, you'll head back to your Kasekela Luxury Tented Camp for a refreshing swim in the freshwater lake Tanganyika, followed by dinner and overnight rest.

You will begin your Chimpanzee tracking at 8:30 AM in the forest of Gombe National Park, which is famous for the conservation project initiated in the 1990s. During the hike, you will visit Jane Peak, which stands at around 3,500 meters. Today's itinerary involves learning about plants and fruits. After the hike, you will descend to a waterfall for a refreshing break before heading back to camp for lunch. Please note that food is not allowed during tracking. You will also have the opportunity to snorkel and swim in Africa's deepest freshwater lake, which is the second-largest in the world.
