Learn about the history and tradition of local grapes, wine and olive oil making, while you're diving into the wines tastes, in two wineries we have selected for you.
Taste the indigenous varieties of Crete such a Dafni Kotsifali, Thrapsathiri, Plyto, Malvasia di Candia, Muscat of Spina or of the local with International varieties such a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon combined with Cretan cheeses.
Lunchtime arrives, and we indulge in a traditional Cretan feast at a quaint taverna nestled in a quaint village of Katalagari.

Stop At: Skalani, Skalani, Crete
Our first stop is at an Olive Oil factory to learn all the process of olive oil making and course, you'll have the opportunity to taste their extra virgin olive oil.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Thrapsano, Thrapsano, Crete
We invite you to discover the secrets and the skills that have made Thrapsano Pottery the most successful village in Crete and even in Greece.
A driver guide will take visitors into the heart of the Thrapsano village, where people produce ceramics since thousands years ago.
The visitors can see the most important skills required in creating a piece of art pottery.
This is your opportunity to see live and chat with some of the best artisans, to see the way they produce and the way they are firing their products in a kiln much like those used in the past to now days.

Stop At: Alagni, Alagni, Crete
Start your tour with a visit to the renowned Lyrarakis Winery, one of the oldest and most significant wineries in Crete. Here, you can learn about the winemaking process, explore the vineyards, and sample a variety of wines, including indigenous Cretan grape varieties like Vilana and Kotsifali.
Taste 5 Cretan wines combined with Cretan cheeses.

Next, head to Paterianakis Winery, located in the picturesque Peza region. Paterianakis is known for its dedication to reviving ancient Cretan grape varieties and producing unique wines. Enjoy a guided tour of the winery and indulge in a tasting of their signature organic wines.

In this beautiful village you’ll walk through traditional buildings and houses of Katalagari while your driver/guide will inform and explain you, about tradition, history and the way the locals live, celebrate and enjoy their lives.
Here will have lunch in a family taverna with Cretan traditional food and wine (optional)
