2-day Classic Taroko Gorge Private Tour

This tour takes us down Taiwan’s magnificent Northeastern coast with a few interesting stops along the way before bringing us into Taroko Gorge National Park. An early evening’s hike close to the park’s entrance leads to a riverside BBQ (including fresh river shrimp, which you’ll catch yourself). We’ll take the next day to explore the gorge more fully by road and foot, visiting some of the shrines, temples, caves and waterfalls that make this most dramatic landscape even more magical. We’ll take our time hiking along breathtaking trails and dipping our feet in the river before heading back up the coast and returning to Taipei. Taroko Gorge has drawn travelers from near and far for decades. After our visit, you’ll know why.

Please note: **Shrimp catching and BBQ might be changed to shrimp fishing and Taiwanese cuisine dinner if the weather or river condition is not allowed to do the activities.**

Itinerary

Day 1: Depart from Taipei to Taroko Gorge and Hualien

Pass By: Qingshui Cliff, Su-hua highway from Herping to Chungte, Xiulin 97253 Taiwan
We'll pick you up from your hotel at noon for a leisurely drive down Taiwan's magnificent east coast, stopping at a few beautiful spots along the way.

Stop At: Taroko National Park, Taroko National Park, Xiulin, Hualien
We will take you to visit the magnificent landscape of Taroko Gorge by car and foot. You will take adventure to explore caves and waterfalls, to experience the nature atmosphere.
Duration: 2 hours

Meals included:
• Dinner: Enjoy a riverside BBQ feast followed by shrimp catching in the river
Accommodation included: Stay at 3-star Hotel Day Plus Hualien (DOUBLE/TWIN) or equivalent

Day 2: Back to Taipei

Stop At: Taroko Gorge, Xinchen Township, Xiulin Taiwan
Today we’ll explore Taroko Gorge more deeply. We'll spend the day in the geologically stunning Taroko National Park. Best known for being the home of the visually stunning Taroko Gorge, the park is also a treasure trove of rivers and waterfalls, cliffs and trails, tunnels and temples. We'll hike, sightsee, and explore the gorge, perhaps even seeing some of the local monkeys who call the area home before returning to Taipei.
